3. Informational nature of website content

The information on this website is provided for general guidance only. It is not a substitute for tailored advice based on your specific circumstances.

Website content does not create a client, advisory, coaching, consulting or professional relationship between you and People Puzzle.

A professional relationship is created only when People Puzzle agrees in writing to provide a specific service to you or your organisation.

4. Service scope and separate agreements

People Puzzle may provide services under a separate proposal, service description, booking confirmation, statement of work, engagement letter, service agreement or other written agreement.

The specific scope, deliverables, fees, timelines, responsibilities, assumptions, exclusions and any special terms will be set out in the applicable written agreement or service confirmation.

If there is any conflict between these Terms of Service and a signed agreement between People Puzzle and the client, the signed agreement will prevail, unless expressly stated otherwise.

People Puzzle is only responsible for delivering the services within the agreed scope. Any work outside the agreed scope may require a separate agreement, revised timeline or additional fee.

5. Services for individuals

Services for individuals may include career guidance, leadership support, mentoring, coaching-style conversations, CV or LinkedIn review, interview preparation, career transition support, sounding board sessions or participation in a mentorship circle, workshop or programme.

These services are designed to provide structure, reflection, practical guidance and support. They do not guarantee a specific result, job offer, promotion, salary increase, business outcome or career decision.

Individuals remain responsible for their own decisions, applications, communications, professional conduct and next steps.

6. Services for companies and organisations

Services for companies and organisations may include HR audits, people advisory, policy or framework review, HR foundations, leadership support, manager guidance, workshops, project-based support, external perspective or other agreed consulting work.

People Puzzle provides independent advisory and practical support based on the information made available by the client.

Unless expressly agreed in writing, People Puzzle does not:

  • act as the client’s employer, HR department or legal representative

  • make employment decisions on behalf of the client

  • conduct formal investigations

  • handle disciplinary or grievance cases as the decision-maker

  • provide recruitment services

  • provide legal, tax, financial, medical or regulated professional advice

  • guarantee compliance outcomes, employee relations outcomes or business results

The client remains responsible for decisions, implementation, internal communication, legal compliance and the management of its employees, managers and stakeholders.

7. Booking, registration and acceptance

A booking, registration or service request is confirmed only when accepted by People Puzzle.

Depending on the service, confirmation may require:

  • completion of a booking or enquiry form

  • written confirmation by email

  • acceptance of a proposal or service scope

  • signature of an agreement

  • payment of a deposit or full fee

  • confirmation of participant names, dates or service details

People Puzzle may decline or discontinue a service request where the matter is outside our scope, presents a conflict of interest, requires regulated advice, involves inappropriate conduct, or cannot be supported professionally.

8. Fees, invoices and payment

Fees will be stated in the relevant proposal, booking confirmation, invoice, service page or written agreement.

Unless otherwise stated, fees are quoted in UAE dirhams and may be exclusive of applicable taxes, bank charges, payment platform fees or third-party costs.

Payment terms will be confirmed in the relevant invoice, proposal, booking confirmation or agreement.

People Puzzle may require payment in advance, staged payments, a deposit or payment before access is granted to a session, programme, workshop, materials or service.

Where payment is not received by the due date, People Puzzle may pause or delay service delivery until payment is received.

9. Cancellation, rescheduling and no-shows

Cancellation and rescheduling terms may vary depending on the type of service, format, duration and agreement in place.

Unless otherwise stated in a specific agreement or service confirmation, the following general terms apply:

Individual sessions

Individual sessions may be rescheduled once without charge if notice is provided at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time.

Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time may be charged in full.

If a client does not attend a scheduled session without prior notice, the session may be treated as completed and non-refundable.

Workshops, group sessions and mentorship programmes

For workshops, group sessions, mentorship circles or programmes, cancellation and refund terms will be set out in the relevant service description, registration page or agreement.

Where a participant cancels after materials, access links, preparation work or programme access have been provided, refunds may not be available.

Substitutions or transfers to another participant or future session may be accepted at People Puzzle’s discretion, where appropriate and requested in advance.

Company or project-based work

For company engagements, HR audits, advisory projects, workshops or other project-based work, cancellation, postponement and delay terms will be set out in the relevant proposal, statement of work or agreement.

Where work has already started, the client may be charged for work completed, preparation time, committed resources, external costs, subcontracted work and any non-cancellable expenses.

If a client delay, lack of information, lack of access, repeated postponement or change in direction affects delivery, People Puzzle may revise the timeline, scope or fees.

Cancellation by People Puzzle

If People Puzzle needs to cancel or reschedule a session, workshop or service, we will offer a reasonable alternative date, transfer or refund for the affected service, depending on the circumstances.

People Puzzle will not be responsible for indirect costs linked to cancellation or rescheduling, such as travel, accommodation, lost time, lost opportunity or internal business disruption.

For company engagements, the client is also responsible for ensuring that internal stakeholders are available, relevant documents are provided, and any required approvals or decisions are obtained within the agreed timeline.

11. Confidentiality

People Puzzle treats client and participant information with care and confidentiality.

We will not intentionally disclose confidential information shared with us except where:

  • disclosure is required to deliver the agreed service

  • the client has authorised the disclosure

  • disclosure is required by law, regulation or public authority

  • disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety or legitimate interests

  • the information is already public or independently known

  • disclosure is made to professional advisers, subcontractors or external experts under appropriate confidentiality expectations

Clients and participants must also respect the confidentiality of information shared by People Puzzle, other participants, organisations or individuals during sessions, workshops, mentorship circles or group programmes.

Group settings are built on trust. Participants must not share personal, professional or organisational information disclosed by others without permission.

12. External experts and subcontractors

People Puzzle may recommend or involve external specialists, such as legal, tax, financial, technical, payroll, compliance or other subject-matter experts, where a matter falls outside People Puzzle’s professional scope or requires specialist input.

Where an external expert is recommended and engaged directly by the client, that expert’s services, fees, advice and responsibilities remain separate from People Puzzle.

Where an external expert or subcontractor is appointed by People Puzzle as part of an agreed assignment, People Puzzle will remain responsible for managing the subcontracted work within the agreed scope, unless otherwise stated in writing.

People Puzzle does not accept responsibility for advice, services, delays, fees or outcomes provided by external experts engaged directly by the client.

13. Use of AI tools

People Puzzle may use artificial intelligence tools in certain situations to support research, drafting, structuring, analysis, summarisation, administration, idea generation or preparation of materials.

AI tools are used to support professional judgement, not replace it.

Where AI tools are used, People Puzzle aims to apply appropriate safeguards, including limiting personal or confidential information shared with AI tools, anonymising information where practical, and reviewing AI-assisted outputs before using them in client-facing work.

Clients and participants should not submit confidential employee records, medical information, legal case details, disciplinary files, investigation materials or sensitive personal data through open website forms or unsecured channels.

People Puzzle does not guarantee that AI-generated or AI-assisted outputs will be error-free, complete or suitable for every purpose. Any output provided to clients remains subject to the agreed scope of services and professional review by People Puzzle.

14. Materials, frameworks and intellectual property

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all materials, frameworks, methods, tools, templates, documents, slides, guides, website content, service names, programme content and other intellectual property created or provided by People Puzzle remain the property of People Puzzle.

Clients and participants are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use materials provided by People Puzzle for their own personal, internal professional or internal organisational use, depending on the service purchased.

15. Client materials and information

Clients retain ownership of information, documents, data and materials they provide to People Puzzle.

By sharing information with People Puzzle, the client confirms that they have the right to share it and that People Puzzle may use it as necessary to provide the agreed services.

Clients are responsible for ensuring that personal data, employee information, company records and confidential materials are shared lawfully and appropriately.

People Puzzle may retain copies of relevant materials, notes and outputs where necessary for record-keeping, legal, accounting, quality, dispute management or legitimate business purposes, in line with our Privacy Policy.

16. Testimonials and feedback

People Puzzle may request feedback, testimonials or recommendations from clients or participants.

We will not publish a named testimonial, logo, case study or identifiable client reference without permission.

Anonymised or general feedback may be used for service improvement, internal reflection or marketing, provided it does not identify the client, participant or organisation.

Where a founding rate, pilot rate or preferential fee is offered in exchange for feedback, testimonial input or participation in a review process, this will be agreed separately.

17. Outcomes and no guarantees

People Puzzle aims to provide thoughtful, practical and high-quality support. However, we do not guarantee specific outcomes.

This includes, but is not limited to:

Clients and participants remain responsible for their own decisions, actions, communications, implementation and results.

18. Professional boundaries and specialist advice

People Puzzle provides HR advisory, people strategy, leadership, career, mentoring, coaching-style and consulting support.

Unless expressly agreed in writing, People Puzzle does not provide legal, tax, financial, medical, psychological, therapeutic, recruitment, immigration or other regulated professional advice.

Where a matter requires specialist input, People Puzzle may recommend that you seek advice from an appropriately qualified professional.

Where liability cannot be excluded, People Puzzle’s total liability will be limited to the amount paid by the client for the specific service giving rise to the claim, unless otherwise stated in a signed agreement or required by law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
